There are many low quality "top xxxxx" listicles (list articles) ranking well on Google (not just for "top xxxx" searches). Note Bing also displays "top xxxx"-type list results generated using Artificial Intelligence from multiple "sources around the web" for some queries in a similar way to Google's Knowledge Graph (with some of the same citations used by GOOG for similar queries).
